UPWARD® SEARCY is a combined ministry of First Baptist Church, Valley Baptist Church, and West Race Baptist Church in Searcy. Over the past several years, hundreds of children in the Searcy area have participated in Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. ABOUT UPWARD BASKETBALL & CHEERLEADING:
Upward promotes character and fun for every child by:
- Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal and competitive teams.
- Establishing a one-hour practice time each week as well as an Eight-Game Season.
- Implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time
- Creating the opportunity for every child to learn and improve their skills basketball and/or cheerleading.
Participating in Upward gives children a chance to experience good sportsmanship on and off the court. Children receive a special recognition award after every game and have the opportunity to develop new friendships. Along with the unique sports experience, children also receive the following Upward items:
Basketball Players -- T-shirt, Reversible Jersey, Car Magnet, Upward Music CD, and an End-of-Season Award.
Cheerleaders -- Uniform, Megaphone, Poms, Car Magnet, Upward Music CD, and an End-of-Season Award.

In order to pay the amounts listed above, you MUST register BY OCTOBER 20, 2011. If you register later than October 20, the cost increases by $10 (Basketball-$65 and Cheerleading-$70). REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER OCTOBER 28, 2009. |
